Similac Recalls Baby Formula Because of Risk of Beetles

Abbott, the manufacturer of Similac infant formula, has recalled many types of formula because of fears that the formula may have beetles or larvae in it. The FDA has determined that infants who ingest the formula may suffer gastrointestinal discomfort or refusal to eat. The FDA advises that if these symptoms persist parents should consult their child's physician.

Parents can find out which lots numbers have been recalled at www.similac.com/recall. The lot number can be found on the bottom of the container.
