Massive Recall of Eggs Produced in Iowa
Wright County Egg, located in Galt, Iowa, has issued a nationwide recall of 228 million eggs after eggs produced by Wright County Egg were linked to hundreds of cases of salmonella-related illnesses. The eggs were sold under the brand names Lucerne, Albertson, Mountain Dairy, Ralph's, Boomsma's, Sunshine, Hillandale, Trafficanda, Farm Fresh, Shoreland, Lund, Dutch Farms and Kemps. The recalled eggs were packaged between May 16 and August 13. According to a statement issued by Wright County Egg, consumers should not eat any recalled eggs.
