Jury Awards Family $132 Million in Lawsuit Against Ford Motor Company

A Mississippi jury awarded the family of Brian Cole, a New York Mets baseball prospect, $132 Million in a product liability lawsuit against Ford Motor Company. The lawsuit claimed that Cole's Ford Explorer rolled over and that Cole was ejected because of a defective seatbelt. This is the largest jury verdict ever awarded against Ford involving an Explorer or Expedition.
Brady Preston Gronlund filed a similar lawsuit against an auto manufacturer for a defective seatbelt, after our client was ejected and partially paralyzed during a rollover accident. Our client and his wife received a confidential, satisfactory settlement.
