Distracted driving in Iowa remains a huge concern in this state and across the nation. The state of Iowa banned texting while driving as of July 1, 2010. However, authorities continue their attempt to get the message out to motorists regarding the dangers of distracted driving.

• Cognitive - Driver takes mind off the road
